The website is about an open-source music streaming application called Koel. It serves as a personal music streaming server that works with both desktop and mobile platforms. Koel was created out of desperation when the author's laptop ran out of disk space, prompting them to look for free or open-source music streaming applications but finding none that suited their taste. Thus, they decided to build Koel themselves. The name "Koel" comes from a bird that sings nonstop near the author's place in Singapore. Koel embraces newer technologies and requires a Laravel server for its operation while utilizing modern browsers for optimal performance.
